Our Code – Respectful collaboration within the birth team
As a doula and graduate of the Baby Coach Academy, I adhere to a clearly defined code of conduct that ensures respectful and constructive collaboration with medical professionals. My goal is to provide sensitive support to parents without overstepping the boundaries with other professions, particularly midwives.
Our principles:

Clear delineation of professional roles
I respect the competence and responsibility of midwives, doctors, and other professionals. Reserved tasks are performed exclusively by appropriately qualified personnel. -
Appreciative communication
Respectful interaction with parents and the entire birth team is central to my work. I prioritize constructive and supportive communication that fosters a positive atmosphere. -
Continuing education and supervision
To ensure a consistently high quality of my work, I regularly participate in training courses and supervision sessions and maintain a professional exchange within the network. -
Promoting a positive birth culture
I am committed to respectful and needs-oriented birth support – free from dogma and always with the goal of supporting expectant parents in their self-determination. -
Not medical advice
Medical aspects and advice are the responsibility of qualified professionals such as midwives, doctors, or IBCLC lactation consultants. I am aware of and respect the distinction between my work and that of medical professionals. -
No accompaniment for unassisted births
I do not recommend or attend unassisted births. Instead, I support parents in finding a midwife for a home or birth center birth, provided this is desired and possible. -
Focus on women and their needs
My work is based on a woman-centered and needs-oriented approach. Respecting the privacy and well-being of the woman giving birth is my highest priority.
With this clear stance, I want to signal to hospital staff and midwives that my work is based on teamwork, respect, and support. My goal is to make a valuable contribution to harmonious birth care – always in accordance with the existing healthcare system.
